today the doctor asked if any of us were following the stock market and nobody responded. like lol bro you suckkkk stop asking stupid questions.

he continued, “i just wondered if anybody knew about the ai bubble.”

i said, “it’s gonna pop!”

he said, “maybe,” and looked genuinely annoyed as he looked down at his phone.

the moral of the story is that the hidden curriculum remains far more important than the visible one. things like ignoring doctors' questions about stock markets... not sharing six seven jokes with them...... but still being kind to them... asking to meet in person instead of on zoom... and most importantly, increasing friendship with your peers.

i have to thank med school for giving me a day like this where it is so easy to find meaning, so easy to love the people around me. on that note i say thank you god for another day, and amen to it all.
