You may not know it yet, but you are an NPC.
That’s right. Those characters in video games who say the same sentence every time you try to talk to them. That’s you. And you don’t even know it. And that’s sad!
Walk with me. You’re about to be saved from the errors of your ways.
Let me be the first to say this:
you’ve been doing everything wrong.
But you’re not a lost cause. For one reason or another, this digital book has been dropped into your physical hands. You’ve been karmically blessed to receive the gift of this knowledge. All you have to do is sit there, let your eyes do the work, and let me take you on this journey.
I’d like to make one thing very clear right away:
this is not your fault.
The fact is that 99% of us talk like NPCs—that is, non-player characters. People who are not the main character. People who are not in control of the game of life. People who are there, but aren’t really doing anything.
The reason why all of your conversations feel AI-generated (and often even less interesting than that) is because
you were handed a faulty script.
The programmers of this game of life have assigned you the role of NPC, and they gave you a generic set of combinations of words to use, the same set that they gave all the other NPCs:
“Hi, how are you?”
“Wonderful weather we’ve been having, eh?”
“So, what do you do for work?”
Sound familiar? I’m sure it does. Those are the cards you were dealt.
Are you sick of it yet?
Sick of starting a conversation, saying and hearing nothing but the same old pre-selected dialogue options, and walking away from it wondering—knowing, actually—that it wasn’t worth your time? Your limited, precious, valuable time on our beautiful planet earth?
I remember when I was like you: wandering around aimlessly in the same three square feet of space on this big, beautiful planet, speaking the same boring nonsense to every person who crossed my path.
But then the epiphany came. I received a similar karmic gift as the one you’re receiving, in the form of a direct-line transmission seemingly from the universe itself, that I could transcend the NPC fate that had been assigned to me. I saw, for the first time, that I could become something different. Something bigger. Not just an NPC, but a PC.
I wasn’t put here on earth to be an NPC, and neither were you.
We were born to be something else—not someone who quietly follows the script the imperial overlords gave us, but someone who can write their own script.
Here’s the truth that the programmers aren’t going to tell you, the one that they all know, which they use for their own evil ends: conversations aren’t random. They have a structure. A structure that can be understood and manipulated. It’s possible to become the person who everyone loves talking to, the one who pushes human evolution further and further, to its breaking point, to the point of creating a new human being.
You are the first in a long line of new human beings.
You are the kind of person who will change the entire trajectory of human history through the art of conversation.
You’ve already spent your whole life talking to people (never mind that you’ve been doing it wrong), so all that’s needed is a bit of refining.
You’re wondering why no one has told you this yet. You’re wondering why you’re hearing all of this for the first time, right now, from me of all people. Here’s why: everyone else is an NPC, too. All of us—ALL of us—were given this old, tired script. And the people in charge of writing the scripts have so much power that they’ve successfully gatekept this knowledge from you for your entire life.
Why do they keep it so hidden? Because
they know the power of an NPC who refuses to follow the script.
They know how dangerous it is when the world turns from NPC-occupied to run by PCs. It scares them.
You have the power inside you.
All you need to do is throw away the script, say fuck you to the programmers, and decide, right now, that you’re done living as an NPC.

Are you ready to give up the script, throw it on the ground, step all over it, watch it turn to dust, watch the words melt away?
Are you ready to start generating your own script, to be the light in the dark for your fellow human, to lead us out of this mess together, to usher in a new era of human prosperity?
