take 1
- mrs. bennet PERFECT
- jane and elizabeth also awesome reacting in the background
- louisa not louisiana, jane
- maybe darcy is listening in on this shit talking as well
- country TOWN indifference to decorum
b4- miss bing good instinct walking over to darcy really good switching up... like she sort of turns it down around him I LOVE THAT CHOICE
- everyone can sort of shift around a bit to signify time passing while lady is speaking, maybe we all wind up at the table seated
- miss bing: ALLLLL young ladies accomplished? i love the laugh but give it another beat for ALL?
- 'all this she must possess' is darcy’s way of advocating for elizabeth
- same goes for that final line of the scene. maybe emphasize it more
take 2
- mrs. bennet good instinct about being a little bit thrilled about horseback thing, so that the mr. bennet line makes more sense
- elizabeth 'distance is nothing when one has motive,' show the love for jane, like it's not even a question
- nice darcy standing up, that was cool... maybe that can be a little moment as well like a little bow and curtsy on both sides perhaps?
- i love the look of miss bingley sitting and mrs. hurst standing
- country TOWN just like the OW u know..
- somewhere near cheapside...... emphasize only the word CHEAP
- make sure we all move over to the table when lady is delivering that line in the middle
- i can even imagine a scoff from miss bingley as elizabeth leaves with the 'excuse me'
- love the image of miss bingley in between darcy and elizabeth like yeah that's the whole thing
take 3
- mrs. bennet pushing lizzy out of the way... FUNNY..... (indeed nobody can you know.... a parenthetical)
- mrs. benet 'OH!!!' after 'from caroline bingley' so good
- we will have a little intermission for the rain just so yall know
- love mrs. bennet reacting to jane needing to stay - could even throw in a little line like 'what a marvelous idea of mine' cuz in the book we have mrs. bennet saying 'oh what a good idea'... this could even happen during the raintermission
- bingley walk behind the ladies not in front of them while they’re talking........ creating like a triangle... don't get in their way
- bingley you’re like laughing with their joke... but you don’t findit funny i would say... don’t laugh with them
- bingley show us more of your concern for her. could be accomplished through like abruptly standing up when you see elizabeth, maybe just like showing some more anxiety
- miss bingley planting yourself between them was so funny and like..... protective.... so good... so very good
take 4
- mr b good job showing concern really goood lean into it keep doing it
- laugh even more... laugh HEARTILY after cheapside... like cackle almost... get evil laughy with it
- always cheating toward the audience even when you're approaching ezliaeth with concern bingley.... i see your side i wanna see your face
- bingley maybe you can be over with elizabeth by the books like tending to her and being the good host, then you chime into the conversation.
- 'all young ladies accomplished'.... ‘yes, all of them.’ maybe show bingley like really thinking about it. like bingley can lean more into the himbo thing like let us love him and his innocence
- darcy sternness with 'undoubtedly' was good
next!
